Navy SH-60F Helicopter Update-Move to Hanger 325, NADEP SD, August 30, 2023

NADEP San Diego is ready to start installing the stanchion stainless steel mount to the underside of the helicopter and because of difficulty of the installation, they asked for the aircraft to be moved to NADEP San Diegos Hanager #325 over a couple blocks from the Double Dome Hangers at North Island.

AD1 Mendez of HSC-3 organized a move crew and had to borrow an HSC-4 tug and operator to complete his team. Once base security was onsite the move was completed in short order over into one of the available stalls in Hanger 325. NADEP SD plans to get the mounting plate made and installed by September 15, 2023.

Once this work is complete, the aircraft will move from 325 back to the Midway Hanger 805 for its gray paint job before probably coming back in early October to the Double Domes for the FlyGirl Painters repaint of the tail. She would prefer to do her repaint inside a hanger.
